Well, the good news is that Fede Alvarez's surprisingly good entry in the Evil Dead franchise arrives on DVD and Blu-ray today. The bad news is that it is NOT the uncut version we were promised. Nor does it have any deleted scenes. It does, however, have FIVE behind-the-scenes featurettes (probably featuring that fantastic B-roll footage) plus cast and director commentary.
Evidently Best Buy has an excuslive Blu-ray verison with bonus disc that includes a Bruce Campbell interview and special effects featurette. And Target has this pretty steelbook edition:
No word yet if we will get a better release - though, given Evil Dead's track record with re-releases, I'm sure we will. If you'd like to order the Blu-ray up right now, you can do so here:
